Dr Ruwan Palapathwala lectures in Asian
Religions and Religion and Culture in the United
Faculty of Theology, the Melbourne
College of Divinity and at Trinity
College,
the University of Melbourne.
His research
interests are: contemporary doctoral education, globalisation,
religious traditions of South and Southeast Asia and religion
and culture.
He has published widely on the intertextuality
of the Holy Books, globalization, dialogue of religions, terrorism
and religious fundamentalism, suffering, ageing and spirituality

Ruwan is also the part-time Parish
Priest of St. Alban's Anglican Parish, North Melbourne, Australia.
Ruwan's initial study was in Sri
Lanka. His doctoral thesis on Paul Tillich and Buddhism was
completed in 1999 at the Victoria University of Wellington,
